Chaz (formerly of Tri-Axe)

Ferry to Algiers

We took the ferry to Algiers and then an angry thunderstorm kept us inside the pub for some time.

They're Rollin'

It was supa-cool watching these guys roll cigars.

Tri-some-cigars?

Zane @ the cigar shop helped us pick out some fine cigars for later
(very rare but enjoyable indulgence) AND he says he'll come to the
show tomorrow. Score!

Oxford-part5

We say farewell to Oxford and hit the road for the evening. Thanks to
Dave for these great photos & to Dave and Donalyn for the amazing pre-
show dinner and their sweet support!

Oxford-part4

Touring ain't that glamorous, is it? This is what goes on an hour
after the show: load up the trailer with a bunch of heavy stuff and
sweat some more through your tee. Look forward to shower.

Oxford-part3

And we keep rockin' 'til the clock abruptly hits midnite and we're
shocked all the Oxford bars will have to close. Finish your drinks and
time for one more song, "Mister Mister." I pout bc I want to keep
playing but get over it quickly. We've had a great night after all the
unexpected electricity craze.

Oxford-part2

With the help of many kind folks, we move our gear next door to
Taylor's Pub and get to rockin'

Oxford-part1

City of Oxford electric utility truck arrives bc problem is deemed
fire hazard.

Lights Out at Two Stick

After loading all our gear in to Two Stick, the power went out. It
started getting really hot and people began to leave bc it didn't look
like we'd be able to play... The city was on their way to fix the
problem, which meant the power wasn't coming back on until the
morning. Bad news: didn't get to play the super cool sushi-rockclub
Good news: we promptly set up next door and played to a full house.
Dave, thanks for having us. Oxford, thanks for coming out to see us!!

It feels good

To be in NYC!

NYC - we are here!

We're on the island. No traffic, we're a 'lil early even!

Live Stream Tribella Tonight!

We play at Arlene's Grocery in New York City tonight. You can tune
into www.musikville.com at 8pm (eastern time) to see us play live.
Kick back, treat yourself to a tasty bev, and open up your apple (or
non-apple) to see us rock the biggest Apple of them all!

My Mad Face

This is my mad face! With so many things to keep track of...it was
bound to happen. So it did. Last night, as I was setting up my drums,
I realized that I left behind my most prized cymbal stand. Somewhere
in the chaos of the night in Northampton, Mass, my sweet lil Ludwig
ride stand is lonely & missin me. It's been many years, passed down
from my Grandaddy, with duck tape & all. Off to Guitar Center we go
for a cheap lil knock off, because lemme tell you...they just don't
make 'em like that anymore!

Day 16: Boston/NYC

Headed to NYC and it's raining? ...get out!

Soap Stars

Are playing in Allston. Right Now. And guess what? We are playing next!

Harvard Square

Rae, Ali, & I are grabbing brews and vines at Tommy Doyles. Wait, is
it still raining outside? Rae is fixing to visit a long lost high
school friend and I'm about to see the grown up versions of the kids I
nannied for after college. Prepare smelling salts bc I might pass out.
1,3,&5 have become 13,15,&17. Wait, how old am I?!? Oh me.

Newbury Comics

Best record store, fond memories. Glad it's still truckin'

It's raining in Boston

... NO WAY! Get OUT!

Littleton, MA - arrival 5am

OMG. We did not get the sleep we needed! But we're still happy and had
a blast playing in Northampton. Carry on, carry on.

Northampton

My friends, from SF, that now live in Mass, drove the distance to see
us at the Elevens in Northampton. Yay, Jeremy, Kri, & Erik!

Saturday, June 20, 2009

Happy pre-show faces

At The Elevens. We already like this place, nice vibe, sweet
bartender, & Rae's discovered the tasty Steel Rail Ale, brewed right
here in MA. We're looking forward to rockin' Northampton. Hell's to
the --YEAH!!

Smith College Botanical Gardens

Err, so pretty, so pretty. Dena wishes she went to school here. We're
currently doing a pub crawl in Northampton, getting all ampered up
before the geeg (Murphey, any geegs, any geegs??) Rae's flooding the
town with show fliers. Our true warrior, rah!

Guess what?

It's raining in Northampton! Get out!

Spanky after dark

... at the midnight hour.

D-Note

We've landed in Connecticut for a few days. It's quite beautiful, very green and lush. I've never even seen this part of the country. Today, Rae's Mother gave us a tour around the quaint town of Litchfield. It's adorable.

Also, our nutritionist has joined us. It's nice to have a familiar face with us. I've managed to acquire about 572 bruises on my legs from the extensive loading (and unloading) of band equipment and bags in and out of that trailer. It's been brought to my attention that I turn into a robotic machine while strategically organizing the trailer. It's sort of like a real-life game of tetris (bruises included), at 3am while hungry, sweaty, and tired. I think we've finally figured out a good system :) Yay Tetris practice!

I believe "iron" will be incorporated into our daily diet, while the trusty carrots and hummus were delicious, by day 8, we just couldn't stomach another carrot!

Thanks to everyone, family and friends, for following and supporting us along the way!
